Welcome to the GEAG Website

Gamlingay Environmental Action Group (GEAG) is a group of local residents who share a love of the natural world but who are concerned about the damage that is being done to the environment — here and around the world.

We believe in informing ourselves about the environmental challenges facing Gamlingay and the world; we believe that individuals can and should make a difference — and we believe that changing the world can be fun! We organise regular events here in Gamlingay, open free of charge to everyone in the village and surrounding areas. We invite leading figures in the environmental movement, cutting-edge scientists, and local politicians to speak in Gamlingay. We will also lead film screenings, debates, hands-on workshops, and trips out and about to important environmental events.

As well as organising events, we campaign locally and nationally for real change on a wide range of issues, from energy and climate change, through transport and planning, to nature and conservation.

Our aim is to inform, entertain, and make a difference! We want our meetings to be both fun and productive, and to change the world, one village at a time.

You are very welcome at all our meetings, which are held at 8.00pm on the third Wednesday of each month in the Old Methodist Chapel, Green End, Gamlingay. Meetings are friendly and enjoyable - and we usually go for a drink at the Cock afterwards, so feel free to join us!

Details of our next event are below. We hope to see you very soon!
